Welcome to Delta Counseling! I believe in helping clients learn about themselves, and in doing so, learn about healthier alternatives to help them achieve the balance, wellness, and happiness they are looking for. Many people turn to unhealthy coping skills during difficult times in their lives, and I want to help them break free from these maladaptive patterns and live a healthier, more fulfilling life.

I began my career working in community mental health, getting experience with a broad range of mental health and substance issues. In 2012, I began working in a large private practice setting, and then moved to a smaller private practice in 2018. Throughout this time, I continued to gain education and experience in the field of eating disorders, and also did some PRN work at Eating Recovery Center of Ohio. When the pandemic hit, I realized there was a great need for outpatient eating disorder providers, and that clients could benefit from having both therapists and dietitians working together to help them achieve full recovery. Delta Counseling was founded in October of 2021, and we have been working to help clients access both nutrition and mental health services for disordered eating, compulsive exercise, and body image concerns. I am passionate about helping people achieve both physical and emotional wellness, which is why I am a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider and I also have an Associates Degree in Dietetics and Nutritional Management.

I believe in a holistic, client centered approach to therapy. I draw from CBT, DBT, and ACT techniques, and I like to tailor each client’s treatment to what fits them best. I like that we have a small and close knit team at Delta where we can collaborate together to figure out how to best serve our clients. I look forward to working with you!

Registered Dietitian

RDN, LD

Licensed in Ohio and Kentucky

Works with clients ages 14 and up both in person and virtually. In-network with Humana, Cigna, Aetna, Medical Mutual, Anthem BC/BS, TRICARE, Multiplan.

Update: Lauren will be in network with UHC beginning 5/1/24!

As a registered clinical dietitian, I’ve spent much of my career working with individuals struggling with mental health disorders and disordered eating. I strive to maximize client outcomes through a gentle nutrition philosophy based on an anti-diet framework, and develop treatment plans under the Health at Every Size ™ philosophy. I promote intuitive eating strategies with my clients to enable them to break free of conventional restrictive dieting methods, facilitating dietary freedom, and allowing them to rediscover the power of sustainably nourishing the body and mind. I take into consideration each client’s personal goals and experiences with an “all foods fit” mentality, and I look forward to working with clients at Delta Counseling to help them on their journey to recovery!

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

MS, LPCC, LMHC

Licensed in Ohio and Indiana

Works with clients ages 12 and up both in person and virtually in Ohio, and virtually in Indiana. In-network with Anthem BC/BS, UHC/UBH, Student Resources, Aetna, Cigna, Medical Mutual, Custom Design Benefits, Multiplan and TRICARE.

I aim to provide a safe, affirming environment for you to be your authentic self. I empower my clients to take care of themselves, advocate for their needs, and create a life that is for thriving, not just surviving. I enjoy working with teens and young adults struggling with disordered eating behaviors, emotional dysregulation/early symptoms of BPD, and suicidal ideation. I believe all behaviors including these, are caused, and we can work together to better understand yours. I am able to work with clients virtually in Indiana and both in-office and telehealth in Ohio.

I often use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in my practice. I like to identify how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with each other and your environment. I also examine how societal, cultural, and political struggles you face play a role. I’ll utilize other modalities and techniques as needed for your treatment.

This journey through life is not meant to be taken alone. I look forward to working with you!
